Tiny tumble students will learn basic skills, including forward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, and standing back handsprings. Tiny Tumble is arranged to keep this age busy and moving while developing physical strength and more complex coordination.

Tumble Level 1

Level 1 class builds a foundation for proper alignment, power, strength, and timing for a successful tumbler. Learning good body positions and creating a movement memory will be the cornerstone to more advanced skills. Tumble Level 2

It is considered the most crucial time in a tumbler's learning. We teach Level 2 in two separate classes, Level 2 and Level 2.5. A strong understanding of all Level 1 skills will be needed before entering Level 2. Level 2.5 is the connection phase of tumble 2. All skills learned in levels 1 and 2 are connected in series in level 2.5.

Skills Taught in Level 2 and Required to progress to Level 2.5:

  • Back Walkover
  • Front Walkover

Tumble Level 4/5

Level 4 is for students with a proper Roundoff Back Handspring Tuck and allows for the student to be challenged with body position variations that require more core strength and air sense. However, the concentration on upper-level skills and new variations may lead to muscle memory "lapse," so continued practice and attention must be paid to primary lines and power.

Boys Tumbling

We realize that males have different needs than females, so putting them in their classes together is incredibly beneficial. The course will still focus on technique and basics while at the same time pushing to gain skills. Boys Classes are broken into Beginner and Advanced. Boys Beginner Class focuses on Back Roll, Forward Roll, Handstand, Cartwheel, Roundoff, and Standing Back Handsprings. Once the athletes perfect these skills, they will move to Boys Advanced to work on Round Back Handsprings, Tucks, Layouts, Fulls, Doubles, etc. Keeping the boys together will help push them and build a sense of camaraderie and friendship.

SCHOOLREC TRAINING

Are you looking for a facility and coaches to help train your cheerleading team? Look no further. There is a reason why we are considered one of the best in North Carolina. Join our family at the CIA. Slots are minimal.

Team training at the CIA is very individualized. School and recreational teams each have different agendas and different goals that they have set for themselves. Our coaches use each team’s goals and the team’s coach’s plans to determine what type of training will be best for that team.

From game day or sideline material to training skills in tumbling, stunting, pyramids, jumps, etc., or working on cleaning up a routine. Some teams want to work on everything or just one area. We can provide your team with the appropriate coaching.
